OpenDyslexic on iOS, Again
OpenDyslexic has been re-listed on iOS after a momentary developer subscription lapse. Subscription renewal just came at a bad time.
I’m thankful for everyone that let me know, and for everyone’s patience.
You can download the iOS version here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/opendyslexic/id1513770588
As a reminder, iOS allows only for adding typefaces to the device, and this app does not change the UI of iOS. What it does is allow you to select OpenDyslexic from a list of fonts in supporting applications.
Apple’s own font selection for things like Closed Captioning do not allow third-party fonts still (almost 10 years after the feature was introduced?), and some applications still allow only a small selection of fonts pre-chosen by their developers. I cannot fix these things.
However, any application using Apple’s methods for listing fonts should be able to use OpenDyslexic. Back in 2020 this was a handful, but there are many, many more now.
