New Content Options and Minor Bug Fixes

The following new content options have been added to Visual DOS: Integer Overflow. These options let you feel like you are removing some content that may be too sensitive or political

  • Enable Woke Mode, default On

    • As someone with a sleep disorder I find this request odd, but it was an easy add. I wasn’t able to implement sleep breaks in the game, but if you turn this one off, feel free to stop playing when you feel too tired. If you do have problems with daytime sleepiness, I strongly recommend seeing your doctor about it. There are real world solutions available. Some conditions, like apnea, can be deadly. Please take care of yourself.
  • Enable Diversity, default On

    • The main character of the game is a woman. If that troubles you and provides extreme discomfort, uncheck this box, and call your physician or therapist for assistance.
  • Enable Realism, default On

    • In the real world, people come from many different cultures, backgrounds, and ethnicities. If reading about people of different backgrounds is troubling to you, uncheck this option. You will then be allowed to pretend this game is only about straight, cisgender, white American males, and as you read, replace every character in your mind with a white male. The game narrative will not actually change.

In addition to the new content settings, several typo’s have been fixed, and some things have been clarified to better work with Visual DOS 2024.

These changes do not require a new save.
